MOM’S EXIT INTERVIEW (a PodcastOne show)
OVERVIEW: Leave your lanyard and swipe card at the door, we working moms are learning we don’t need a boss to give us permission — or a promotion — to create the lives we want. Listen to the trailer above!
Join Kim Rittberg, Video Expert, Media Executive (formerly of Us weekly, Netflix) and mom of two as she interviews real working moms who’ve inspire us - business owners, entrepreneurs, freelancers, side hustlers, part-timers, stay at home moms, consultants and so much more! They’ll share their paths to flexibility and freedom and how they tackle questions around identity, perfectionism, “hustle culture,” imposter syndrome, money, and personal and professional fulfillment. Plus on each episode, experts will offer tangible tips, advice and solutions so you can chart your own path.
Guests include moms such as Fashion Designer Rebecca Minkoff, Gretchen Rubin of the Happiness Project, Carley Roney who co-founded the billion dollar Knot.com, the Oscar-winning married duo who directed Little Miss Sunshine Valerie Faris & Jonathan Dayton, and everyday moms like freelance writer & single mom Leslie Gray Streeter who ditched her job mid-pandemic, and Kar Brulhart, a social media manager who went from pregnant and unemployed to running a six-figure coaching business.
WHY THIS SHOW? WHY NOW?
Kim launched and ran the video unit for Us Weekly, overseeing an 18 person team…until her parent company was purchased. She found herself trying to salvage what she had worked so hard for, all from the hospital with an IV in her arm as she delivered her second child. While Kim still had her executive job, she lost her desire to be in corporate America. Kim launched her own company, which offers video and content strategy and media training and recently was honored with a Webby Award. However her path to entrepreneurship was riddled with questions and anxieties, thus giving birth to the MOM’S EXIT INTERVIEW podcast which aims to inspire and educate moms seeking fulfillment on their own terms.
Career-wise, there is so much between being fully at with your kids and being in the “rat race.” Kim’s goal is to expose moms to all the opportunities from 10 hours a week to being a full-time entrepreneur and invite parents to reimagine and achieve true work-life balance. Babysitting not included.
