Stop Stirring the Soup. Start Ladling It Out
I see it all the time with clients: they've got a great pitch, a great offer, a great story — and they keep "improving" it instead of sending it. One more edit. One more read-through. One more "let me just tweak the hook." Sound familiar?
The Soup Is Done
Here's the thing about soup — at a certain point, it's ready. You can keep stirring it, tasting it, adding a pinch of this and a dash of that... or you can admit it's done and serve it while it's hot.
Your content works the same way. That video you've rewatched twelve times. That email sitting in drafts. That pitch you've rewritten so many times you can't even tell anymore if it's good. At some point, more stirring doesn't make it better. It just delays it.
You're Not Perfecting. You're Stalling.
Here's the truth: your message is not going to get magically better by staring at it for the 47th time. It's ready. You're just scared. Scared it'll flop. Scared someone won't like it. Scared that once it's out in the world, you can't take it back. So you keep stirring — dressing it up as "polishing" — when really, you're just avoiding the moment where you have to hit send.
Ladle It Out
So stop stirring. Ladle it out. Send the email. Post the video. Pitch the podcast. The soup is done — go serve it.
What message have you been "stirring" instead of ladling? Tell me in the comments — I want to know what's sitting in your drafts folder right now.
