TRANSCRIPT:

(00:01) AI is everywhere. That is not breaking news. But how do you make AI to make better, more human sounding content? That's what I'm talking about today. Hey everyone, I'm Kim Rittberg. I am a six-time award-winning marketer and former media executive for places like Netflix and People magazine.

(00:18) And I'm here to teach you how to make better content to grow your impact and to grow your revenue. So AI is everywhere. Yes, whether you're using Chat GPT, Gemini, or any of the other things. But what does that mean for your actual content? So, one thing I want to set back and remind you, the point of putting yourself out there on social media is to be make connections, to build human connections.

(00:41) So, as you make AI content, you have to have it push forward your humanity. You need to use artificial intelligence to highlight your human intelligence. Right? We're not just creating content just to create content. when every single person has the same AI tools and can put in the same AI prompts, what really makes you different? So, it's very very important to just think about the fact that AI is available to help you be more human, to show off your humanity.

(01:16) So often we think about AI as being this incredible tool for efficiency, which it is, but don't get so obsessed with efficiency that it's watering down everything you put out there. And people just start being like, "Uh, Kim, she's just really a bot." I follow her on social media that Jane, she really is just like a robot. All of her stuff is AI.

(01:34) People know it and people can smell it out. So, I'm going to give you a couple of tips on how to use AI to create better content. So, I'm going to You can use any of the apps that you use. I'm just for simplicity’s sake going to show you chat GPT. So, as we're using chat GPT, you're going to want to put in a prompt that really tells Chat GPT about who you are.

(01:56) So, I might say something like, "I am Kim Rittberg. I am an award-winning video marketer. I teach professionals how to make better content and how to be better at public speaking." So, that's just enough to get them started. It I might want to add my tone. So, a lot of times it is going to give you a default tone of voice until you tell it.

(02:18) So, I would write I write in a professional but breezy tone of voice. I like to add humor, but I don't like puns. I put that in specifically because I get a lot of puns as an output. I'm like, that's not really how I talk. So, uh I just like to tell it. Another thing you can do is load it up with your websites, your social media, everything you have and write your blogs.

(02:42) That is the way to train it to understand your voice. So step one, you're going to really give it an understanding of who you are. So now that it knows a little bit about who you are, you can say, "Come up with 10 video ideas that I can use. These will be short form video ideas." Put it in there and see what it comes out with. Now I want you to apply my sag s a g that is my that is my little formula and sag means if it is bad it doesn't meet the sag requirements it will sag like a lead balloon otherwise it will soar so s is does this sound like me so you could

(03:26) look at the ideas does this sound like me is this something I would create for about AI not about the idea does it sound like A. Do I agree with it? We don't want to put out content that we disagree with, do we? The answer is no. The next line is G. G. Is it generic? Generic is bad. Generic is garbage. We do not like that.

(03:49) So, S A G. Does it sound like me? Do I agree with it? Is it generic? We are going to have it pop out a bunch of ideas and then we're going to review the ideas. So, as it gives me ideas, I'm going to go through them and say, "Do I like this? Do I like that? Do I like that?" So, I'm marking off the ones that I do want to go with.

(04:13) And then next, what else can I have it do? This is pretty brilliant. Have it write your script. I like to say, you now need to add the human element of it. So, even with the ideas and the script portion, you want to edit it with your human touch. I I think that is really the main difference to getting super robotic content versus using AI to be efficient but still making it sound human.

(04:34) So, I'm going to take those ideas, select the ones that I like, and there are several that I like, and then I'm going to edit them. As I go into the next stage, I'm going to say, "Write me out a one minute script using this idea." As it gives me the idea, as it gives me that idea turned into a script, I'm then going to use my human touch.

(04:57) I'm going to go through it like I did in TV. An editor would like literally strike through with a red pen. Actually, I was already in the digital at age fine. But you would delete, like, you know, strike through, write over the ones that you don't like or do like and make it sound like yourself.

(05:13) So, some of these ideas I really do like. I think the script is pretty good, but I do want to make sure that it feels like me. And one of the ways to make sure it feels like you is to put in experiences, your humor, your personality. Like even ChatGBT, as it gets to know you better, all of these apps, as they get to know you better, they're going to rate pretty well.

(05:31) I do recommend really putting in your personality, your experiences. So, what does that mean for a video where I'm teaching people how to be on camera? I'm gonna say from my years in TV, I would see reporters doing this with their hands. That's because when we use our hands and they go wild, this is a way to hold them steady.

(05:52) But I'm again saying that it's from my personal experience so people don't just be like, I just Googled it or used to. So, we're using that SAG formula again. Does this script sound like me? Do I agree with it? Is it generic? I'm feeling pretty good about this script. So, what I'm going to do, I'm going to load up that script into a prompter.

(06:10) And you can either just read it off or you could put bullet points on a sticky note, stick it on your phone and then go for it. You now have a video that was made much more easily, right? When you're talking about like coming up with ideas, sometimes you feel stuck. Sometimes we're like tired and burnt out. I don't know the ideas.

(06:28) This is a great way to really supercharge the ideation process. supercharge the brainstorm process, but you really, really, really have to take that next step and insert your humanity because in a sea of robotic content, it is the humanity that will make you stand out. So, I want you to try this. I want you to use my SAG formula and drop a comment and tell me what do you think.

(06:55) Is this working for you? Right? I want to know what do you use? What apps do you love? This is like we're always, you know, sharing amongst ourselves. If you're not a futurist and a technologist and you're using it for your regular professional job, I'd love for to hear from you. What are you using? What are you seeing?
