My TEDx Talk is Live: The Simple Secret to Making Video That Connects and Converts

It’s here my TEDx talk is live!

What do Netflix, PEOPLE Magazine, and a hospital labor room have in common?

They all shaped the way I think about success, visibility, and the real reason so many people avoid making video content — even when they know it could grow their business.

The Turning Point: A Hospital Bed and a Wake-Up Call

There’s a photo I keep tucked away. I’m in a hospital bed, IV in one arm… and my iPhone in the other. I’m in labor, about to give birth, and asking for b-roll footage from Camera 2.

The nurse gave me a look that said, “Lady, put down the phone.”

In that moment — through the contraction and the chaos — I had a jolt of clarity:

Why am I working during one of the most important moments of my life?

That moment forced me to rethink success. I’d spent years producing TV for Netflix, breaking news stories, and leading video teams for major media outlets. But in chasing the dream, I’d lost sight of what mattered most.

From Behind the Camera to Teaching Others to Shine On Camera

Leaving the corporate world, I launched my own business helping professionals use video to grow their visibility, connect with their audience, and communicate their value.

But there was a catch: if I was going to teach others to show up on camera, I had to do it myself.

Even with my media background, I felt the same doubts my clients did:

- What if I look silly?

- What if I sound cringey?

- What if I seem like a wannabe influencer?

Over time, I realized this wasn’t just about camera skills — it was about fear. And fear was holding people back from creating videos that actually worked.

The 4 C’s Framework

In my TEDx talk, I share my 4 C’s system — a simple, practical framework to help you:

1. Build true confidence in front of the camera

2. Communicate with clarity so your audience sticks around

3. Stay consistent without feeling overwhelmed

4. Tap into creativity that makes people want to watch

It’s not about perfection. It’s about presence, persistence, and progress.

Why You Should Watch

If you’ve ever avoided hitting “record” because you weren’t ready, didn’t know what to say, or worried about how you’d look — this talk is for you.

You’ll walk away with a new mindset about video, a practical system you can start using today, and maybe even the push you need to take that first small step.

If it resonates, please share it with someone you know who’s been holding themselves back from showing up.

Because bravery doesn’t always roar — sometimes, it just hits ‘record.’
